This new feature enables the creation of open shifts by the Admin or attendance manager, providing greater shift scheduling flexibility and balance.
To define Open shifts on Jisr:
Follow the below steps:
1- Navigate to Attendance & Leave > Shifts & Scheduling > Shift Settings
2- In the Open Shifts tab, click on the Create New Open Shift button.
3- Enter the name in both English and Arabic.
4- Specify the number of working hours required for the employees who will be assigned to this open shift.
5- Determine the clocking roles based on company policies. You can choose between (flexible or within a time frame).
- If Flexible policy:
- If within the timeframe policy (i.e. from 06:00 A.M till 10:00 P.M ):
6- Activate the Automatic Overtime by toggling on the button, and fill in the relevant settings that will appear consequently
7- Finally, click on the Save and Create button to complete the process.
Notes:
1- The first punch and the last punch will be recorded as the clocking in and out.
2- The admin can create two open shifts for the same day as long as there is no conflict or overlap between the working hours of each shift.
3- On the scheduler page, make sure to mark days off for employees with open shifts.
4- When scheduling employee shifts, the Admin can use the open shifts that have been defined in the system. In order to make them easily identifiable, we have tagged these shifts as "open shifts" in the following :
1- Templates page (Attendance & Leave > Shifts & Scheduling > Shift Settings):
