Jisr allows your employees to submit punch correction requests, to mitigate occasional mistakes and technical errors that might affect the tracking of the punch-ins and outs.
In this article, we cover how admins can define correction request policies for their companies, and how it would affect the requests submitted by the employees.
To define a punch correction policy
- From the Settings page, open the Attendance > Attendance Policies tab from the navigation menu.
Go to the Punch Correction page
Click the Add Policy button and enter the required data as follows:
Policy Name: Enter a name for the policy.
Monthly Request Limit: Enable a maximum number of correction requests allowed per employee each month, and specify the limit.
Submission Time Limit: Enable a maximum time window (in days) during which a request must be submitted, and specify the number of days.
Example: If the limit is set to 3 days and an employee records an incorrect punch on March 2nd, they must submit the correction request no later than March 5th.
Employee Selection: Select the employees to whom this policy applies. You can choose:
All employees.
Specific employees.
Predefined groups in the system.
Click the Create button.
Important Rules
Policy Conflicts: An admin can create multiple policies for the company, but an employee can only be assigned to one policy. If you attempt to include the same employee in more than one policy, the system will prevent the creation of the new policy and display an error message explaining the reason.
- Validation: When an employee submits a correction request, the system will block any requests that violate the defined policy criteria and display a message explaining the cause.
