When enabling attendance reminders' notification for your employees, you will have the option to choose at what occasions these notifications should be sent to the employees and also define the exact number of minutes before or after the occasion.
Let's know each type of the available attendance reminders:
- Before the shift starts
You can check this reminder if you want your employees to receive a notification before their shift starts by an exact number of minutes in case they didn't punch in yet.
An example:
If your employees start their shifts at 9 am, and you entered 10 minutes in the minutes column, your employees who didn't punch in till 8.50 am will receive notifications at 8.50 am reminding them to punch in.
2. Before deductions applied
If this reminder is selected, notifications will be sent to employees before deductions begin for those who haven't punched in for their assigned shifts, according to your company's deduction policy. You can also decide how many minutes before the deduction policy applies the employees will receive the notification.
let's say; the deduction policy of your company starts to be applied on employees after 15 minutes of the start of the shift. So, if the shift starts on 9 am, you can select to send reminders for employees before 9.15 am and define the number of minutes too. If you entered 5 minutes before, notifications will be sent at 9.10 am.
3. Before the shift ends
You can remind your employees with a notification before their shift ends, so they don't forget to punch out. If the shift ends at 5 pm and the admin selects 5 minutes, employees will receive notifications at 4.55 pm.
4. After the shift ends
When the shift ends and employees don't punch out within specific number of minutes, you can select to send them notifications after the time of the shift.
For example:
If the shift ends at 6 pm and you set the reminder to be after 15 minutes, it means that if your employees don't punch out by 6.15 pm, they will receive notifications to remind them.
Please note that at least one of the available attendance reminders should be selected before saving. If you uncheck all of them, the last one unchecked will remain selected by default.
