Managing employee leave is a major challenge, especially in large organizations. HR professionals and managers often rely on external tools, spreadsheets, and separate reports to track leave, resulting in wasted time, increased errors, and planning difficulties.
To solve this problem, we at Jisr are pleased to announce the launch of the new Leaves Dashboard. This innovative addition aims to transform leave management from a purely administrative process to an effective strategic tool.
We at Jisr have designed a solution that directly addresses these pain points, focusing on meeting the needs of:
- HR professionals: To monitor the entire organization's leave and ensure it aligns with company policies and workload.
- Team managers: To know the availability of their team members at any given time, ensuring efficient task management.
- Operations managers: To ensure a sufficient workforce across branches and avoid staff shortages in critical departments.
Steps to view the leave dashboard:
1. Click "Attendance and Leave"
2. Then "Leave Tracker"
3. View the leave schedule, which is the screen shown in the image.
The new dashboard provides a key view to meet different user needs and contains the following data:
The left pane focuses on public holidays:
Public holidays coming up: Displays upcoming public holidays and those defined in the system.
View holiday settings: A button to view and modify the organization's public holiday settings.
Early resumption requests: Displays the number of early resumption requests.
Vacation requests status
These three tabs show the status of current vacation requests, which are displayed to the user in the vacation tracking panel:
Pending requests: The number of vacation requests pending approval.
Critical overlaps: Number of leave overlaps, i.e. the number of employees who have leave in the same period.
Employee on leave: The number of employees currently on vacation.
Calendar: Displays the dates for the current month. You can navigate between months using the arrows.
Vacation type filter: A search box and filter to search for specific vacations by type (sick, annual, emergency, etc.).
Appears in the timesheet under employee names. Colored lines (such as the blue and yellow lines) indicate employee vacation periods. Click on them to view vacation details.
Note: The user can choose a specific filter that will be the default interface that appears to the user when entering the screen, for example: choosing only employees who are currently on leave to appear in the monitoring panel.
