Managing official holidays (holidays):
According to the text of Article 112 of the Labor Law, and Article 24 of the Executive Regulations, the Jisr system allows the definition of official holidays and occasions (Eid Al-Fitr, Eid Al-Adha, National Day, Foundation Day) by following the following steps:
From the main page > Settings > Leaves & Holidays > Public Holidays > Add a holiday > Define the name in Arabic and English for the current year > Determine its duration based on the start and end dates > Choose to apply to the entire facility or to a specific group > Choose to activate the effect of this holiday on the trial period for employees or not > Create.
Note:
- Article 53 of the Labor Law states that Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha holidays are not included in the calculation of the probationary period. Therefore, the admin must verify by activating the option (Extend the probationary period for employees) from the option to modify the Eid holiday, to ensure that the probationary period for employees is calculated accurately.
Note:
- Article 24 of the Executive Regulations of the Labor Law has specified the minimum leave for official holidays and occasions, and therefore each employee is entitled to paid leave during this period. If the nature of the work in the facility requires the attendance of some employees on these days, the facility must compensate the employee in appropriate ways.
- The admin can allocate holiday or occasion leave for the entire facility or for a specific group of employees (based on locations, departments, or work units).
