After the user defines the shifts in the system as mentioned in the previous articles, you can view them here.
The admin or user responsible for scheduling employee shifts can assign the shift schedule to a group of employees or to all employees by following the following steps:
- From the main navigation menu, go to the Attendance & Leaves > Shifts & Scheduling page.
- Click on the "Assign Shift" button
- Alternatively, click on the "+" icon on any empty slot for any employees
- From the "Assign to" option, choose the employee, group of employees, or all employees.
- Choose the location to assign all selected employees to it or keep the default location option (the work location assigned in the employee's personal file)
- The user selects which shifts to assign to them for one day:
- Shifts: either choose from the pre-defined shifts, or create a new custom shift on the fly. Note that each day can have a maximum of 2 shifts.
- Shift templates: select from one of the pre-defined day templates, where each template already has 2 shifts set.
- Use the search, sort and filter capabilities to find the needed shifts faster
Note: The off day option can be activated if you wish to set this day as a off day for the employee.
- The user then clicks Next to choose when to start working on these settings and choose the duration, by specifying the start date and repeating the shift if the user wants this shift that was assigned to be repeated for a specific period of time.
- Finally, the user clicks "Save and Publish" or it can be saved as a draft by clicking "Save Draft".
