When working on the monthly payroll, a quick and clear access to specific information enables the payroll admin to complete the task easily in time. This is what the payroll homepage aims to achieve, especially when many salary groups are defined in the system.
Required permissions and roles:
Both Payroll Admin and Admin roles can use this page.
Once you access the payroll homepage, you can display all the pay runs for each month in two view:
Timeline:
Adherence to salary payment dates is one of the most important factors affecting employee satisfaction. Therefore, the Timeline interface displays monthly payroll run information in a calendar format that shows the required steps for each run at the appropriate time according to the corresponding pay group settings.
List view:
This is a simpler display method for payroll runs. It includes the same important information as the Timeline interface, as well as the search and filter capabilities within the pay groups.
Next, let us list the most important features and actions available from either view on the Payroll homepage:
Navigating through different months
- Filtering the displayed payrolls as follows:
- Search using an employee's name or number to display the salary group they belong to
- Search by the name of the salary group
Filter by the payroll status
- Quick access to the most important payroll information, such as:
- Employees assigned to each payroll
- Employees excluded from each payroll
- The total salaries for each payroll
Visual indicators to draw attention to delays in approving or paying the payroll
- Performing actions on the payroll in one step, such as:
- Invoking the next step for each payroll based on its status (open payroll, start payroll, proceed to payment, etc.)
Additional actions for each payroll based on its status (view all payrolls, skip, export, go to Settings, etc.)
Skipping previous open payrolls, where a notification is provided about any open previous payrolls and their number, with the ability to easily view and skip them.
