The group merging feature in the Jisr system is a key component of the grouping functionality. It enables administrators to efficiently and flexibly manage approvals based on group and employee organization.
How Do Groups Work in Approval Workflows?
1. Automatic Reflection of Groups in Approval Cycles:
- Once a group included in an approval cycle is modified, the approval cycle is automatically updated to reflect the changes made to that group (such as adding or removing employees, or changing the group manager).
- This automatic update helps save time and ensures integration between group settings and approval cycles.
- The group manager can be selected as one of the approvers.
2. Selecting Groups for Approval Cycles:
- The administrator can select the groups to be included in the approval cycle for each type of request (such as leaves or overtime).
- This customization makes it easier for administrators to link policies only to relevant groups.
- Click the "Select" button to add a group.
Note: The option "All Company Employees" must be disabled to display groups in the approval workflow.
3. Including Multiple Groups in the Same Approval Cycle:
- Users can include more than one group in a single approval cycle.
- This feature is particularly helpful for managing large teams or teams across multiple locations operating under the same policies.
4. Combining Groups and Employees in a Single Cycle:
- Administrators can combine specific groups and individual employees within one approval workflow.
- This provides added flexibility for handling exceptions or special requirements for certain employees under general policies.
5. Activating "All Company Employees" Option:
- By enabling the "All Company Employees" option in the approval workflow, all employees within the company will be included in the approval cycle.
