A chart of accounts (COA) is a financial organizational tool that provides a complete listing of every account in the general ledger of a company, broken down into subcategories.
Jisr provides you with the ability to link all these accounts with the financial expenses and liabilities, in order to make it easier for you to general the accounting journals.
You can access the linking page from Settings >> Chart of accounts
To define your Chart of accounts, you may choose one of the following methods:
Importing the COA accounts through an Excel sheet:
This method is helpful if you're setting up the COA accounts for the first time on Jisr.Go to settings >> Accounting integration >> file based integration >> Chart of Accounts
Download the template by clicking on the "upload your chart of accounts button"
Fill up the template with each account ( Code - English name - Arabic name )
Upload the template again after saving the file.
Defining an account from the settings interface:
This method is helpful if you had a new account that you would like to add directly to the settings.Go to settings >> Accounting integration >> file based integration >> Chart of Accounts.
Click on Create a new GL account.
Fill up the account details ( Code - English name - Arabic name )
You may also directly link this account to the expense from Jisr which should reflect in it.
In case the account has been deactivated, you can change the status of the account to make sure there will be no future use for it.
