Managing exceptional cases within approval chain settings

Regarding dealing with the series of approvals on the Jisr system, there are exceptional cases that the system administrator needs to deal with and manage quickly and easily through Jisr, which are:

First case:
How to prevent some types of (self-service) requests available on the system for all or some employees:

The system administrator can control this by not assigning any employee to the approval chain, so these requests will not appear to them (for example: hiding the request to apply for advances from all employees).

This is done by going to Request > clicking on the pen icon.

Deactivate the option to apply this policy to all company employees > Update.

Therefore, the system will display a warning message.

The second case
How to add new employees to a series of pre-set approvals if you do not choose to apply this policy to all company employees:

This requires the system administrator to add new employees manually by entering the series of approvals to which he wishes to assign the new employee, then clicking on the pen icon.

Then click on the Add Employee option > search for the employee’s name and then add it > click on the Save and Update option.

Third case:
How to assign a specific number of employees to a specific series of approvals and how to exclude some of them if necessary:

To ensure that all employees are added to a specific approval chain in order to facilitate the application process for them, the system will add all employees automatically.

If you want to exclude some employees from the list, the system admin can control this by deactivating the option to apply this policy to all employees first.

Then click on the “Add employee” option.

From this list, he can exclude employees who he does not want to apply the policy to by clicking on the delete icon next to the names of the employees who will be excluded.

If you wish to assign excluded employees to another series of approvals, the system administrator can do so by clicking on the New Approval option and assigning them to it.

If they are not assigned any series of approvals, excluded employees will not be able to apply for this type of request.
