What’s New in Jisr’s Performance Evaluations Interface?
When you open Performance in Jisr, the first thing you see is the Evaluations Dashboard—your control center for running review cycles. It gives you a fast, high-level view of progress, flags risks (like overdue items), and offers one-click actions to move work forward.
The dashboard focuses on two main areas:
- Active evaluations overview
Active evaluations tasks
Active evaluations overview
Four key indicators summarize the current state of all open forms. Their primary function is to help you remind the right people at the right time across four stages:
- Started
Count of evaluations that have been opened or are in progress within your cycles. - Submitted
Number of evaluations that have been formally submitted—of any type (manager → employee, employee → manager, or self)—versus those still in progress. - Pending approval
Evaluations waiting for action from the assigned approval chain. - Overdue
Evaluations that have passed their due date.
Note: Clicking the bell icon on a card opens a reminder you can send to participants (any role) with optional custom text. Reminders are sent at most once per day.
Active evaluations tasks
This section highlights what remains on the manager/admin to-do list:
- Click View all tasks to see every open item across evaluation types (Self, Upward, Downward).
- In Feedback, you’ll see overdue badges when employee reviews are waiting on you. You can also click Write feedback to open the employee list and start submitting right away.
- Use Given & received to review feedback that’s already completed across all evaluation types.
- In the Peer Selection section, you’ll find the task assigned for selecting peers for peer evaluation forms.
How forms are categorized in the new experience
- Active
Forms that have been created and published but not yet marked Completed by admins. Users can track updates on active forms, including employees added, number evaluated, in review, and overdue counts. - Drafts
Forms that have been created but not fully configured (for example, evaluation types not set—Self / employee→manager / manager→employee—groups/criteria not added) or forms saved as draft by admins. - Scheduled
Forms configured to run on future dates (including recurring cycles).
Completed
Forms that have been marked as completed by admins.
After clicking on any evaluation form, regardless of its category,
A progress panel appears based on the user’s role and permissions (admin or manager).
When clicking on Criteria and Questions, the defined set of criteria and questions for that form will appear.
The Team Progress is divided into:
Downward Feedback: The progress bar displays the completion level using color indicators.
Self Evaluations: Show how far each employee has progressed in completing their self-review.
Upward Feedback: Reflects employees’ progress in evaluating their manager.
Note: Not all sections will appear if only one type of evaluation is activated.
Example:
If a form is created for self-evaluation only, the internal dashboard will not include manager-to-employee or employee-to-manager feedback sections. How do the internal dashboards appear from the employee’s view?
Team Progress: Appears exactly the same as it does for the system admin and the manager, with no difference in structure or indicators.
Feedback Ratings Screen: Displays all types of evaluations:
The Downward evaluation (the rating/percentage given by the manager).
The employee’s self-review.
The Upward evaluation (if enabled).
Tasks Section: Employees can add or complete their self-review and Upward evaluation by clicking the arrow icon next to the name. After the manager submits their evaluation, the items automatically move to the approval cycle based on the configured settings.
