The performance module on Jisr offers an expanded range of features and an enhanced process that involves multiple parties with advanced permissions to help them achieve their goals. To ensure consistency and accountability throughout all stages, admins can assign specific roles within the system to manage performance-related tasks and maintain coherence in the process.
- Performance manager
Empowering organizations to designate a performance manager ensures accountability for the entire process as the performance manager will be able to manage and update all data related to performance, forms, templates, and reviewers. This role enables HR teams to oversee and execute the performance management process, even when team managers and employees are involved in creating evaluation forms and templates.
What actions can the performance manager do?
- Create, edit, and publish performance evaluation forms.
- Access and review all evaluation forms, including their details.
- View personal details of reviewees and their assigned ratings.
- Re-open forms after submission.
- Request re-evaluations.
- Remove employees from evaluation forms.
- Create, edit, delete, and use templates performance evaluation forms.
- Directly assign line managers to employees when creating an evaluation form.
How to assign a new performance manager?
Settings> Performance> Roles And Reviewers
Select the employee to act as the performance manager from the dropdown menu and save. The employees who will appear in the list are only those who are admins or employees with 'Performance Management' permissions.
Please note that users can also assign the performance manager during the initial onboarding of the performance module and set up the rating scales used to evaluate employees.
What happens if the assigned performance manager is offboarded or deleted?
Offboarding
When offboard the performance manager the admin must assign a new employee to replace him/her.
Deletion
If an employee assigned as a performance manager is deleted, the user must assign replacements for all the roles currently held by that employee, including the performance manager role.
Note: the admin will not be able to proceed with the deletion unless the employee's assigned role is replaced.
- Primary reviewer
This role is essential to the system as it enhances the performance review process for teams in companies that do not rely solely on line managers for employee evaluations.
By implementing the primary reviewer role, companies can assign different roles as the primary reviewer in the performance system (e.g., line managers, department managers, location managers,....) based on business needs. Any changes made to this role will automatically apply across all performance evaluation forms.
How to assign a new primary reviewer?
Settings> Performance> Roles And Reviewers
Please note that if you add an employee to an evaluation form who does not have the assigned role (e.g., line manager, location manager, or any other role chosen as the primary reviewer), the system will notify you, enabling you to adjust the settings in the line manager tab as appears in the screenshot.
