If the default employee self-service (ESS) request types available on Jisr HR are not satisfactory, the admin can add custom request types to Jisr HR according to business needs or other requirements.
This can be done by following steps:
Go to Settings > Requests & Approvals > Requests > Types > Add Type
After clicking on the "Add Type" button, the system will display the custom request side menu and preview to assist the Admin in creating this specific type of custom request.
In addition, the admin has the ability to select from various options to include in the request as follows:
1- Text:
If this option is selected, the employees will be able to fill out the text field of the request. The admin has the flexibility to make this step either optional or mandatory by checking or unchecking the required box.
2- Number:
If this option is selected, the employees will be able to fill out the Number field of the request. The admin has the flexibility to make this step either optional or mandatory by checking or unchecking the required box.
3- Date:
If this option is selected, the employees will be able to specify a date for the request ( either a single or a date range ) in the request. The admin has the flexibility to make this step either optional or mandatory by checking or unchecking the required box.
4- Multiple choice:
When this option is chosen, employees can choose one or multiple options in their request, depending on the admin's configuration. The admin has the flexibility to make this step either optional or mandatory by checking or unchecking the required box.
5- Attachment:
By selecting this option, employees can attach files to their requests. The admin has the flexibility to make this step either optional or mandatory by checking or unchecking the required box.
Note: Employees can add & attach more than one file for each request.
Click on the Save button to create this type of request.
In order for employees to be able to use this type of Request, the admin should complete the journey by creating workflows for this request by clicking on ( Add Approval Cycle ).
So, the admin should do the following :

Enter the name of the workflow policy.

Select Eligible employees ( either All employees or Specific ones ).

Select the approvers.
-
Click on the Create button to complete the journey.
Notes:
- To add multiple fields for each custom request type, the admin can simply click on the " + Add Field " button.

Admin will be able to Edit, Disable and Delete any custom request type they have created by clicking on ( 3 vertical dots ).

Once the admin deletes or disables a custom request, the employee will not be able to submit a new request for the same type.

Disabled requests will move to a separate section in the list, called “Disabled” so, employees will not see it on the list of requests while requesting.

For deleted or disabled custom requests, the already submitted request wouldn't be affected.

Admin will be able to Enable each disabled request by clicking on the Enable option as well.

Only users with permission: ” Account Permissions - Manage Request Approval Cycle ” Can define a custom request type & its Approval Cycle.

Any Eligible user can apply for the request.
-
Users with permissions " Employee profile - Send Requests For Employees " can apply on behalf of other employees.
-
Custom Request Feature is available only in the ( Professional Plan ).
