Benefits :
-
Employee sync enables customers to get the journal entry lines at the employee level
-
It lets customers keep both systems in sync in terms of employee information
Behaviour :
By default, JisrHR will sync new employee records created in JisrHR to NetSuite.
If there is any change happening on employee information, JisrHR will sync that too, such as adjusting employee information or offboarding the employee.
If you already have employee records created in your NetSuite account before doing the integration Setup, you’ll need to adjust the External_ID field for all NetSuite employee records, otherwise, JisrHR will create those employees as new records.
You can update the external_id using a CSV file Mass update operation.
Follow the below steps to do so:
-
Go to employees list
-
Export an excel sheet file for employees list
-
In the external_id column, put jisr employee_id for all employees
-
Go to import CSV records
-
In the first step of upload a CSV file, select Employees in the import type field, and in the record type select Employees as well. Then click on select file button to choose the file you have exported in the first step
-
After you upload the file you'll be able to move to the 2nd step.
-
In the 2nd step choose Update in the operation type field
-
In the 3rd step, you'll be asked to map CSV file columns with NetSuite employee records. In this step make sure that the internal_id and external_id are mapped correctly. Other fields are optional
-
Step 4: Give your import a name to be saved so you can use it later on and Click on Save & Run button

Employees Records Sync covers the following cases:
-
Create NetSuite employee records when they are created in JisrHR.
-
Sync employee information upon changes in JisrHR.
-
Delete employee records from NetSuite when they are deleted from JisrHR ( Coming soon)
Note: Employee data would be transferred to NetSuite once a new employee is added in Jisr, once employee data is updated in Jisr, and once the employee gets offboarded.
Notes:
-
The above steps are required only if there are existing employee records on the NetSuite side. It is a one-time action.
-
If the above steps were not taken, it might cause duplicate employee records.
Important note: If the user changes the employee’s ID in the Jisr system, the system will add this employee with his new ID as a new employee while keeping the employee himself with his old job number, meaning the system will read that a new employee has been added with a new ID, so the user must not change the employee’s ID in the Jisr system.
That’s it! Now you’re ready to sync your NetSuite with JisrHR employee accounts.
