The company can manage the permissions of the performance management system and control the roles of various users involved in the performance management process. This ensures the distribution of responsibilities among top management, managers, and admins to maintain an effectively and flexibly managed evaluation process.
Each type of role (Performance Manager, Primary Evaluator, Team Leader, System Admin, Custom Role) has a specific level of permissions that can be accessed within the performance management system.
Roles and Reviewers Permissions
- Performance Manager
When the Performance manager role is assigned from the roles and reviewers in the performance management settings, the assigned user will be able to manage and update all performance-related data, templates, forms, and reviewers across the entire system.
- Primary Evaluator
The admin can assign a specific role in the system as the primary role responsible for reviewing employee performance, i.e., evaluating employees. It is not necessarily the line manager who serves as the primary reviewer; it could be the department manager or branch manager responsible for evaluating employees according to company policy. Therefore, the admin can easily assign this role through the performance management settings.
Please note that these roles are not automatically applied to the subsidiary companies of the company. Instead, these roles must be assigned individually to each company to ensure greater independence and flexibility for each entity.
Available Permissions in the Performance System for Default Roles
- Account Admins\ Admins
The role of the account admin and subsidiaries has all performance-related permissions, all of which are enabled for everyone, i.e., across all users and employees in the system. These include:
- View Employee Performance: View evaluation forms and employee evaluation results.
- Use Templates: Create and manage performance evaluation forms using templates, with the ability to share and edit the forms.
- Export Performance Reports: Export all reports related to employee performance management.
- Manage performance: Create, edit, and publish performance evaluation forms, reopen forms after submission, request re-evaluations, and remove employees. Create, edit, delete, and use templates, as well as manage all fields in forms created using templates.
-
Team manager
Basically, the team manager has the 'View Employee Performance' permission for both the own and the team only, allowing them to view evaluation forms and results for themselves and their team. However, this permission can be removed for the team from the permissions section and left only for the own. Additionally, the 'Use Templates' permission can be activated for both the own and the team.
Available Permissions in the Performance System for Custom Roles
The primary permission available for activation for custom roles in the system regarding performance is:
'View Employee Performance'. This permission is responsible for displaying evaluation forms and employee evaluation results, but it can be controlled to be granted at the own, team, or all levels. This means that the user who has this permission can either view their own evaluation forms and results individually, review the forms and results for the entire team, or view the forms and results for all employees in the system, even those outside their team.
However, please note that through the permissions section, the permissions granted to this role can be easily controlled. This means additional permissions can be activated for the role as needed, or left inactive, such as the use templates, manage performance, or the other permissions mentioned above. It is also possible to control the level at which they are granted, whether for own, a team, or for all.
Please note that:
The 'Use Templates' permission, when activated for own, allows the user to create an evaluation form using one of the templates and add a set of criteria for themselves to be evaluated. These criteria can then be shared and approved by the person responsible for the evaluation.
