This article will explain how to add and define an excuse policy and assign employees to it.
To do this, follow these steps:
Go to the settings page > Excuse & Overtime > Excuse tab
In the Policy configuration section, select whether the policy applies to Location or Departments, then click on the "+ New Excuse Policy" button
Enter the following information:
Policy name (for example: "Default policy")
Allowed Excuse types for this policy
Full Day
Late In
Early Out
Middle of Day
Covered request reasons by this policy
Personal reasons only
Business reasons only
Both Personal and Business reasons
Based on the selected request reasons in the previous step, more settings are made available for you to define the following for each selected reason (personal and/or business):
Whether a monthly limit of the requests number should be set for this reason, and its value (maximum 100 requests)
Whether a monthly limit of the requested hours should be set for this reason, and its value (maximum 250 hours)
You may also enable calculating the whole delay period in case the employee exceeds the delay policy according to your business policy
Note the following, regarding how Jisr applies the above mentioned limits:
Only approved and pending requests are deducted from the employee's allowed monthly balance
The system prevents the employee from submitting excuse requests that exceed any of these limits
The monthly balance is reset automatically at the beginning of each month
After defining all the settings for the policy, you can assign this policy to the employees by selecting one of the following:
All Employees
A specific group of employees
Specific employees
Then, click on Create to save this policy.
