This is where the Announcements feature comes in—as an innovative tool that helps organizations quickly and effectively share important updates and announcements.
Whether it's about informing employees of new policies, sharing greetings for special occasions, or sending urgent alerts, the Announcements feature offers a comprehensive solution that ensures information reaches everyone in a clear and organized manner.
Based on this need, the Announcements feature in the Jisr system has been enhanced to include new capabilities that improve internal communication and address the following challenges:

Lack of engagement and read confirmation: HR cannot track whether employees have seen or acknowledged announcements.

Inefficient announcement management: No ability to create, edit, or delete announcements, making effective management difficult.

Limited customization and clarity: No ready-to-use templates or options to name announcements or control their display location, which affects communication structure and clarity.
Proposed Enhancements for the Announcements Feature
To improve the internal communication experience and increase announcement management efficiency, the system will be upgraded with the following enhancements:
Phase One:
✅ Announcement Management by System Admins
System administrators will be able to create, edit, and delete announcements, ensuring information is accurate and regularly updated.
✅ Enable Engagement with Announcements
Employees will be able to comment on or acknowledge announcements, making discussions easier and encouraging two-way communication.
✅ Include Ready-to-Use Announcement Templates
Pre-made templates will be available for common occasions like: Ramadan, Eid Al-Fitr, Eid Al-Adha, condolences, birthdays, and public holidays—saving time and ensuring message consistency.
✅ Add Announcements to the Home Page as a Widget
Announcements will be displayed directly on the homepage, improving visibility and accessibility for all employees.
✅ Separate Announcements from Notifications
A dedicated icon for announcements will be added next to the notifications icon, along with quick actions such as “Mark as Read” and “Leave a Comment” for easy tracking.
✅ Threaded Updates for Announcements
Users will be able to post follow-up announcements linked to previous ones, enabling structured and continuous updates on specific topics.
✅ Centralized Announcements Dashboard
A comprehensive dashboard will allow administrators to track all announcements, user engagement, their sources, and employee interaction levels—providing full visibility and aiding decision-making.
Phase Two
- Schedule for Later: Schedule announcements for future delivery, automating communication for updates or time-sensitive messages.
- Set Expiration Date: Automatically remove announcements after a certain period to avoid outdated information.
- Follow-up Announcements (Threaded Updates): Send follow-up announcements linked to previous ones for ongoing topics.
- Reactions on Announcements and Comments: Users can now react to announcements with 5 options: Like | Love | Funny | Celebrate | Insightful
