The Jisr system allows employees to use the web interface and mobile self-service app to submit different types of requests that are part of any work day, such as leave requests, fingerprint corrections, excuses, and others. In this article, we go through the steps to submit an excuse request and the different factors that affect it.
Steps:
-
The employee starts by clicking on the "Create request" button available on a number of pages (homepage, Requests page, or the employee profile).
-
The employee selects the request type "Excuse Request", then clicks "Next" to go to the request details page
- The employee specifies the required date, noting that the system won't allow the request to continue in the following cases:
- When there is another pending excuse request on the same day. An warning message appears accordingly
- When the employee's monthly limit of excuses is exceeded. An error message appears accordingly
-
If the specified day is a vacation or the employee's attendance is not required for any reason. A clarification appears accordingly
- On this page, you also see details that fit the policy settings assigned to the employee (see the Define the Excuse Police article). For example:
- Only shows the permission types allowed in said policy: Late Arrival, Early Departure, Mid-Day, Full Day
- Only shows available permission justifications: for a personal or business reason
- Shows the employee's remaining monthly balance of number of excuse requests, as well as the number of hours if defined in the policy
- Only approved and pending requests are deducted from the balance
- The system does not allow the employee to submit a request that exceeds the available monthly balance of excuse requests.
- Finally, the employee clicks the submit button to go through the chain of approvals defined for this type of requests
