For Jisr Workforce Planning, there are specific roles in the system based on key responsibilities and the organization’s policies.
What are the roles that give full access to WFP?
Admin Role
The Admin role has full access to WFP. Admins can access Workforce Planning, view plans in all statuses (active, draft, etc.), create new plans, check plans waiting for approval, send reminders, view WFP analytics.
You can check this role from:
Settings → Roles → Admin
Summary - Workforce Planner
- View Department Plans
- Manage Department Plans
- View Organization Plans
- Manage Organization Plans
Leader Roles
There are also leader roles in Jisr, known as Team Lead and Department Lead.
However, WFP permissions are not available in default roles such as Team Manager and Group Manager.
In this case, you should create a custom role and enable Workforce Planning permissions based on the responsibilities assigned to that user:
- View Department Plans
- Manage Department Plans
- View Organization Plans
- Manage Organization Plans
Note: manage department plans: Can create and edit plans on department level.
Example
For Heads of Departments, you can add them to a custom role titled “Workforce Planner” and activate the Workforce Planner section in the permissions area.
Based on this, they will be able to create and submit plans.
Approval Flow
The approval flow defines who should approve the plan, or request edits.
Who will be added as an approver?
This depends on the organization’s policies.
How to set the approval flow
There are two ways:
- First-time setup
When you use WFP for the first time, the first screen that appears allows you to select the approval workflow.
You have two options:- Set one approval flow for all departments
- Or define a separate approval flow for each department
- Example:
For Company X, the approvers for all department plans are the Head of HR, Head of Finance, and CEO. - Department-specific setup
If each department has different approvers, then you should open each department’s workflow and configure the approvers individually.
How to change the approvers
Navigate to:
Settings → Workforce Planning → Approval Workflow
Here you can change the approval workflow for each department.
The changes can apply to:
- All plans (including drafts), or
- Only new plans created after the change
Sending reminders to approvers
You can remind approvers.
Navigate to WFP
and in the centralized dashboard, you will see the alarm icon.
When you click it, reminders will be sent to the all approvers as notifications inside the system only.
For a specific approver, you should click on the exact plan and send the reminder form inside.
