The Jisr system now features a capability that allows users to create separate payroll entries.
This update provides accountants handling payroll with more flexibility in preparing journal entries.
What are the benefits?
No need for manual adjustments: Before this update, accountants may have had to manually adjust journal entries after they were created to fit their legacy systems or reports. Now, this time-consuming manual work is gone.
Greater flexibility and greater efficiency: The update is specifically targeted at large enterprises (enterprise customers) transitioning from traditional ERP systems, as it gives them the ability to seamlessly mimic their previous workflow.
This feature is a technical and administrative enhancement that gives the financial accounting team complete control over the final appearance of payroll statements, making the monthly payroll closing process faster, more efficient, less prone to errors, and enabling better analysis of human resource costs.
Activation Steps:
1. After completing the accounting integration process with Jisr, access the integration settings with the accounting system.
2. Click the "Enable dimensions on Payable lines".
3. The feature of creating separate Payable lines foe each configured dimension has been activated.
What does "Activate dimensions on Payable lines" mean?
When this setting is activated, the following transformation occurs:
In the traditional scenario (without activation):
A payroll accounting entry is created containing a single consolidated line item for the payable account (for example, "Salaries Due"), regardless of the number of cost centers or projects the employees work on.
After activation:
The system automatically examines each transaction and links it to the pre-configured dimensions (such as each employee's cost center). It then creates an accounting entry with separate, detailed lines for the payable account.
For example, instead of a single line worth SAR 100,000 for payable salaries, the system will create:
A credit item: "Payable Salaries - Sales Cost Center" worth SAR 60,000.
A credit item: "Payable Salaries - Marketing Cost Center" worth SAR 25,000.
A credit item: "Accrued Payables - Project X" worth SAR 15,000.
